Caerphilly Castle

Caerphilly Castle

Caerphilly, Wales

It seems as if everywhere you go in Wales, you stumble over some old castle. The natives all know that Americans go gaga over them, so we tend to tour a lot of them when we go over there. By the end of our trips, I usually feel "all castled out." But this is one I never get tired of. It's the center of a town called Caerphilly, about a 20 minute drive from my inlaws' house in Cardiff, and I think it's just about the coolest old castle I've ever seen. The weather had just cleared after raining hard all day, and I thought Gareth's picture looked like something off a postcard.
