After that last rather heavy post (and I didn't even make the finalists, drat!) -- I thought it was time for something lighthearted and silly -- like this meme I found over at Daily Dose of Denise, by way of Drums N Whistles:
Last 10 Random Tunes Played on My iPod:
- "Heroes" by David Bowie
- "Meeting Across the River" by Bruce Springsteen
- "We Major" by Kanye West
- "In Your Eyes" by Peter Gabriel
- "Pretty Maids All in a Row" by The Eagles
- "Hands Up" by Black Eyed Peas
- "Astro" by Neil Finn
- "I Heard It Through the Grapevine" by Marvin Gaye
- "Day After Day" by The Pretenders
- 10. "Don't Break My Heart" by UB40
I gotta download me some new tunes.
Ha, I have no Bowie on my iRiver! I'm so glad you posted this! I'm on my way to N2G so I can grab some!
(I loved your blogging for books post, by the way)

Get a friend to burn their iPod library to disc and you two swap; easy way to double your collection.

eclectic choices; music can just grab us by the hair and snap us into places we didn't know we were avoiding...

I like the tunes. Most of those are on my ipod as well.
Nice thought from Philip to trade with someone else, I will have to look into that!

The one problem with Philip's idea is that the iPod holds so much more music than can be contained in one CD... I think my friends and I would have to have an afternoon-long swap session, where we could peruse each other's iTunes and pick and choose the selections that we really liked. Or maybe arrange with our friends to create a special playlist for one another - we pick tunes we think they don't have and would enjoy. There are lots of possibilities with that approach!
