I spent Sunday hanging out with my friends Tim and Debbie, who I haven't seen in three months.
I've missed them. We used to do things together several times a week - but that was when our girls were little. Now, they're teenagers, they go to different schools in different parts of the city and have different activities.
It's gotten to the point where we've joked about getting our dogs together for a play date.
Sunday was fun, and so was Saturday, when Megan and I had a mother-daughter day shopping for summer clothes.
I had to pay for my nice weekend yesterday because I needed to run all the errands that didn't get done while I was enjoying myself.
I feel like time is something I am always fighting, because I always have more things to do than hours in the day to do them. I never feel caught up, and someone is always nudging me to finish the next project. I am forever apologizing for my inability to meet a deadline.
And so, I feel guilty when I take the time to just sit back and hang out with my friends.
One of the activities we used to do when the girls were little was take them down to the Los Angeles Natural History Museum. For the next two days, Savvy Source is offering L.A. Parents a 50% discount on an annual family membership. This includes: Unlimited FREE admission for 2 adults and 4 children (ages 17 and under) to the Natural History Museum, as well as the Page and William S. Hart Ranch, FREE admission to special exhibits (like the summer Butterfly pavilion!), discounts and more. All this for just $60 (regular price $125)- that is, if 50 memberships are purchased before Wednesday (May 19) at 11:59 PM. Find out more here.
DISCLOSURE: I stand to earn a commission on memberships purchased through the link above, through my participation in the Clever Girls Collective.
