I have gotten into the habit of falling asleep on the living room couch while watching late night sitcom reruns. This is the only thing that gets my mind off all the stressful things that would otherwise keep me awake all night.
I usually wake up around 1:00 AM and stumble off to bed. But last night, I must have slipped into a deeper than usual sleep. I awoke around 3:30 - and only because the dog was having a fit (one of the cats must have wandered into the room).
Getting back to sleep after that took a really long time, but it eventually happened... about the time our alarm went off (5:00 AM on weekdays).
I've been in a fog all morning; no amount of caffeine is helping.
So I've decided to just accept that this day will not be a productive one. I'm giving in. I simply don't have the brain power right now.
Tomorrow is another day.
