I had coffee this morning with my friend, Antoinette. She's the one whose stroke four years ago prompted me to go on my weight-loss tear. The stroke was a side effect of the medication she was taking for lupus.
When I saw her today, I was amazed, because she now appears fully recovered from the stroke, and her lupus is in remission. She is no longer taking any meds. She looks wonderful, and her outlook on life is positively amazing.
It gives me hope.
And just now, I ran into another old friend who I had not seen in about 30 years.
I think the Universe is trying to tell me something - I just don't know what.
Those are things to ponder later, when I can think.
In the meantime, February is almost over and my life is still on fast-forward:
The final portion of the series on the Catalina visit is half-done (hopefully to post tomorrow). The post about the Chevy Volt (from JANUARY) isn't even close to being finished (but I do have a review of the new Ford Focus up on AskPatty.com NOW).
Our MOMocrats MOMochat radio show is turning into something of a monster - requiring a lot more of my time than I originally thought. It's also the only one of my online activities that is exciting me at the moment. It's a shame that there's no income involved - just the good feeling I get from talking and learning and being engaged in all the crazy things that are happening now.
Tomorrow, we'll be talking about protest, education, and revolution: in the Mideast, in the Tea Party Congress and in the Statehouse, where there's evidence of all three. Our special guest will be Kelsey Collier-Wise of DakotaWomen, com.
Listen live tomorrow here at 9:00 AM Pacific (we'll have the phones open: (347) 945-6465) - or download the archive. (You can get the podcast on iTunes here.)
