You May Have Noticed Something Different Around Here

The design of this blog has changed.

The photos are no longer appearing.

And there have been no new posts for a while.

That's because I've finally done something I've threatened to do for a very long time: Move my blog off of the Typepad platform it's run on for the last NINE years and move on to self-hosted WordPress.

You can now find the SoCal Mom at its new location: http://socalmom.net .

I am still in the process of building it. I am adding plug-ins and widgets and creating new pages that try to explain what it's all about. I am not sure I'll keep the current theme -- I picked it because it is so very different from the ones offered by Typepad all these years. I'm not sure it works -- but I invite you to tell me what YOU think.

In the meantime: Moving nine years of posts from Typepad to WordPress is not a task for the faint of heart, which is why I've waited so long to do so. All the old posts will remain right here for a while (although the photos will not be visible). You just have to use the Typepad URL: http://socalmom.typepad.com .
